Overall clinic today was not bad at all! I even got one quad scaled and I didn't miss any spots. My sister was a good patient and it was a really good experience. Thats it!

Clinic was good today today was mock patient day and it wasn't to bad. Savanna was a good patient and she suffered through my bad scaling. Well that was it!

Well clinic was a breeze today. All I did was sit in the chair and was a patient. Savanna did awesome and hardly hurt me. It was a good day in clinic. This wednesday will not be so great, I will be the operator!:(

Today's clinic was pretty easy. I had to pass off three PE's the sealant, air poweder polish and instrument sharpening. The air powder polisher did not hurt today like last time cause we actually had a good tip. It was very salt tasting it was digusting. That's it for today.

Today in clinic we air-powdered polish and placed sealants. That air-powder polisher hurts that I don't think that I would do it on someone just because I know how bad it hurts. Also the tip that we were using was bad cause it squirted from two ends so while it was on my teeth it also squirted the roof of my mouth and other areas. I sealed two of Lindsay's teeth and it was ok I have done sealants before but I have never had to air-powder polish them before. Well that was about it for today.:)

Clinic was the best today I pretty much got to do nothing! We learned how to sharpen instruments but that was about all I did for today. The girl that got to clean my teeth today did an awesome job she is going to be a great hygienist when she gets out. Well that was about it for today. :)

Today clinic was good it was mock patient day. it was a hard experience but it was good cause we actually learned how to do a complete patient encounter.

Today in clinic it was actually pretty good. We learned how to polish, floss and brush another persons teeth. I have been polishing for a while now but never had a used a fulcrum and I need to so its kind of like if I am just starting out. I finally passed of my anterior scaling!!! YA!!! Well that was about it for today.:)

So I think that I really suck at this scaling thing I cannot seem to get it!!! Everything that has to do with adapting, angulation, and activation of something to something else I cannot seem to do. I feel so bad for every person that is my partner.:( I hurt them pretty good it is so sad. Well that was about it for clinic today.

Today in clinic we got to scale the back teeth and I actually knew how to do it! Wow, that is like a miracle since I have not been doing so good.:( I also forgot my lab coat and had to borrow Alisha's lab coat. Well that was about it!!!

Today in clinic we scaled anterior teeth again. I really enjoy scaling but i really stink at it. We switched partners with people from a different pod and I felt so bad for this person cause I hurt them pretty good. I don't understand why I stink at it so bad? I also tried to pass of my explorer PE again and I still stink at it but hopefully I at least pass it even if it's just by a bit. Well that was about it.

Today clinic was good we learned the names of all our instruments and what they are used for. We had to pass of our explorer PE and it was so hard! So I have to redo it! SAD!!!:( It's ok though because today was actually the first day that I understood how to work it. Hopefully the next time I try to pass it off I will be be semi-decent on working it. Well that was about it.:)

Today clinic was good. I got to probe on someone with out braces for the first time today and it was so much easier. We disclosed again and it seem like I have done worse than I was doing before so that bass technique obviously does not work for me!:( Well that is about it!

Today in clinic we disclosed. We all had purple and pink mouth it was really funny! We got a picture taken of us that I am sure is probably a crack up. That was about it.

Today clinic was really fun!!! We just charted and it was not hard. I understood everything that they were talking about. That's about it.:)

Today in clinic we probe again and I still suck at it! We checked for gingivitis and periodontitis and to my surprise I have some gingivitis:( I really hope that I can probe better as fast as possible cause my poor partner has suffered enough!

Today in clinic we learned how to probe. Probing is so much easier than exploring. I still have a hard time fulcruming though. I passed off my vital signs PE I wanted to do another PE but we ran out of time. Thats it!:)

Today in clinic we learned exploring. It was so hard for me! I got jabbed pretty good in the mouth and I also jabbed my poor clinic partner:( It was a tough experience, who knew there was so much in just holding the instrument. Well that was about it!

Yesterday in clinic we learned fulcruming. I thought that it was going to be easy cause I thought I knew how to do it but i was WRONG!:( It was so hard for me and the mirror feels like is going to be impossible to get use to. Hopefully I do get better at it otherwise I am DEAD MEAT!

Yesterday in clinic we learned how to do the intra oral exam. That one was a lot harder than the extra oral because it seems like there was a lot more structures that we needed to know. I also passed off my patient chair positioning PE and I thought that it was going to be hard but I guess I just made it hard cause it was not hard at all! Well that was about it for clinic. :)

Today we went to Thanksgiving Point. It was a long drive but it was pretty fun! We got to go to an office where they had a really cool device that i wish every dentist had one.

Today clinic was awesome, i was not lost at all!!! We are learning a lot of new things that a of great interest to me. I am really looking forward to when we actually get to scale each other!!!

1st SADHA MEETING

Today we had are very first SADHA meeting and it was pretty fun. We had a lot of food to eat and we got to play bingo. I got bingo and so I got a prize! YEAH!!!

Today I had clinic and I actually understood what we were learning! There is alot that you must write in a chart that I would have never known you had to put in there and that it could affect treatment so much. I also am finally getting the hang of what we are suppose to do for class and clinic!:) YEAH!!!

Hey! I just finished my very first week of dental hygiene school! I am so glad that it is over; I finally get what I am doing!:) I had ethics today and it was fun we even got M&M's to eat while we were in class and on top of that I got to get home early! Well thats it for the most part.

Yesterday in clinic I had the hardest time! Not because it was hard but because I didn't do it exactly the way the instructor wanted me to. I was so frustrated! :( But hey, its two years and I will get through it!!!:)
